Ever wondered how Canoe makes such gorgeous patterns in her leather? I know we have from time to time. If you’re with us then you’re in luck. Canoe is teaching a workshop at Houston favorite, Myth & Symbol next weekend! The workshop will be centered around an introduction to leatherworking and you’ll walk home with your own personalized leather keychain. All the basics will be covered – think: how to select the right leather weight for your project, using tools to stamp leather, how to case leather and basic construction. Canoe designer, Natalie Davis, is a member of the Longhorn Trail Leather Guild, so who better to show you the ropes?
Workshop will take place at Myth & Symbol (2537 Times Blvd, Houston, TX 77005) on Friday, October 4th from 6-9pm. All tools will be provided. No experience necessary. Tickets are available here for $75. A Canoe trunk show will be held the following day, Saturday, October 5th from 3-5pm, so be sure to stop by that afternoon!
